Employee Spotlight: Michael

Today, Michael celebrates his 2 year anniversary at The Fleet Office. We asked him to share a little about his role with us in his own words.

What does your day-to-day look like?

Dynamic, no two days are the same. Some days I’m recovering raw tracking data from deep within the archives, while simultaneously putting technical “fires” out and assisting the junior developers with their projects. And then on other days there’s time to play some outrun!

Michael currently holds the top score on our racing car arcade game “Outrun”.

What is your biggest project right now?

I’m currently designing a new system to handle processing 10’s of millions of rapid communications from trackers, per day.

Why do you love working at TFO?

It’s genuinely like being part of a family, the people and the atmosphere are unlike anywhere else I have worked before. Everyone gets along and has a mutual respect for each other while still being able to joke around and have fun.
