Catching Thieves with Technology

10th April 2018

Our GPS tracking technology has thwarted thieves who stole a new $90,000 bobcat from a Sydney construction site belonging to NSW excavation and civil works operator, Moits.

Unbeknownst to the thieves, their every move was being recorded by our inbuilt tracking device and custom-designed software with data relayed in real-time to our headquarters more than 1,000 km away on the Sunshine Coast.

The software recognised that the bobcat was being started outside prescribed operational hours and sent an immediate alert to the excavator’s owner.

As soon as the bobcat was started up to be loaded onto a truck, the tracking device operated in ‘stalk mode’, mapping the route of the stolen equipment from the worksite in Penrith to an isolated property 51 kilometres away.
